At White Pine Structures, we ask that you refer to the following customer responsibilities for delivery and site preparation below:
Prepare a level site in advance of delivery to set your building on. Add 6 to 12 inches to the actual footprint of your shed. You may use treated timbers for a border around the outside and fill the inside area with 3/4 inch stone to the top of the timber border. You may also consider installing a concrete pad for a more permanent and stable base.
Make sure there are no power lines, trees, tree branches, rocks, fences, posts, mailboxes, other buildings, or anything in the way of our delivery truck and trailer.
If for any reason our driver is unable to unload your shed at your site, he may unload the structure as close to the intended site as possible.
The delivery driver must be able to drive the delivery trailer out from under the structure. NOTE: structure unloads from the end of the trailer. When setting up blocks, keep in mind that we need to back onto the site to unload. Blocking should not extend out of the ground more than 6 inches in the center, or the end we are backing in from.
Anything over 1/2 hour is considered additional time and may be billed in accordance to work required. We do not deliver in bad weather.
If your structure is 10×12 or under, you can set it on concrete blocks. Blocking should not extend more than 6 inches out of the ground. To avoid a large step-up into the shed, we recommend you use 2 inches or 4 inch concrete blocks or dig the blocking into the ground or near ground level.
Codes vary from town to town everywhere. The customer is responsible for understanding and complying with their local zoning, building codes, and regulations. If you are required to have specific designs, materials, and floors plans approved in advance, please discuss that with us and well be happy to assist you. Contact us at (610) 857-3420.
(Concrete blocks are not recommended if the delivery truck cannot back up straight to the short side of the building site. In this case, crushed stone is a better option.)
Additional time required to off-load, straighten, level, block to the best of our ability on the drop site provided. Setting the structure in a different location as a result of poor access or site preparation. Reloading to move the structure to another location.
Additional leveling required due to poor site preparation.
It is the customer's responsibility should the structure require hiring and pay for additional professional services or equipment such as, but not limited to, a back loader, forklift, or crane to be unloaded on their side. (Note: Some structures cannot be moved with some of the above equipment listed.)
White Pine Structures is not responsible for property damage resulting from inaccessibility resulting from soft ground, trees, wells, septic systems, etc. Towing fees resulting from our delivery truck and trailer getting stuck will be the responsibility of the customer.
