When it doesn’t — a tight gate, a fence line, a slope — we build the same building right at your place instead, at any size. Same Amish craftsmen, same materials, same lumber. When Do We Build on Site?

It is not about how big the building is — it is about whether the finished building can get to the spot. Any size can be built on site.

Tight Access — Any Size

This is the big one. If the finished building can’t clear a gate, a fence line, a slope, or a neighbor’s yard, we build it on site instead — an 8×12 shed just the same as a 24×36 garage. Size doesn’t decide it; access does.

16′ to 18′ Wide

Too wide to travel down the road as one finished building, not wide enough to make sense as two halves. Buildings in this band are built at your property from the floor up by our crew.

Two-Story Structures

Both floors and the stairway are built at our shop — a two-story is simply too tall to travel with the roof on, so the roof is the one thing we finish at your place. That is true of every two-story we build, shed or garage.

How Your Building Gets to Your Pad

Four situations, and yours is one of them. We will tell you which before you put any money down.

Up to 14′ wide

Delivered in one finished piece

With clear access, your building rolls off the truck done. Our Shed Mule walks it into place — nothing gets built in your yard.

16′ to 18′ wide

Built on site

A true on-site build. Materials and shop-built components come to you and our crew puts the building together on your pad.

20′ wide and up

Two finished halves, joined on your pad

This is what “modular” really means. Each half is finished at our shop — walls, roof, siding — then set side by side on your pad and joined together. It is not flat panels.

No access, any width

Built on site

When the finished building can’t physically get to the spot, we build it there instead — whatever the size. There is a surcharge for building on site, and we quote it up front.

Your pad needs to be level before we arrive. If it isn’t, we can level a site for a fee — it is not included, but we will quote it with the building.

How On-Site Construction Works

You pick your building

Any model, any size. Configure size, siding, colors, and add-ons online or with a sales rep — the on-site question comes after, not before.

We check your access first

Width of the opening, gates, slope, trees, overhead wires. That is what tells us whether your building can be delivered finished, or has to be built at your place — and we tell you before you order.

It gets built at our shop

Either as a finished building, as finished halves, or as shop-built floor, wall, and roof components — all by Amish craftsmen at our Parkesburg, PA shop. Same materials and same quality control either way.

Our crew finishes it on your pad

We deliver, set, and finish on your level pad — framing, siding, roofing, doors, windows, and trim. Most on-site builds are done in one to two days; bigger and two-story builds can run longer.
