We work differently: we build your structure with Amish craftsmen at our Parkesburg, PA shop and deliver it ready to use, which keeps quality high and pricing transparent. For larger buildings that cannot be delivered in one piece, we do build on-site — our crew assembles them on your prepared pad. Site prep can go either way — plenty of customers do their own pad, and we can quote and handle it if you’d rather not (gravel pads, concrete pads, and leveling are all common requests). Permits get pulled in your name and we walk you through it, starting with a $25 permit review. The finished building is our specialty.

What size shed do I need for a riding mower?

How does delivery actually work?

Portable structures (up to 14′ wide) are delivered fully assembled on a specialized truck and trailer. Once on-site, our Shed Mule — a track-driven placement machine that rides on the truck's flatbed — drives the building off the trailer and positions it exactly where you need it. No crane required. Buildings 16′ to 18′ wide are built on-site, right at your place. Modular garages (20′+ wide) ship in finished sections — a 20′ to 28′ wide building is typically two halves — and our crew joins them together on your prepared pad. And whatever the size, when there is no way to get a finished building back to the spot — a fenced backyard, a tight gate, steep or soft ground — we can build almost any of our buildings on-site instead, right where it is going. Whichever way it goes, our driver calls ahead, scouts the path, and handles everything. Most deliveries take 30–60 minutes from truck arrival to "you're done."

What if I have a tight driveway, a gate, or a slope?

Mention it on your quote request — we deal with this regularly. Your access path needs to be at least 2 feet wider than the building (a 10-ft shed needs 12 ft of clearance, a 12-ft building needs 14 ft). The Shed Mule itself fits through most gate openings, but the building it’s carrying must clear every fence, gate, and passage. If the building won’t fit through your gate, you can remove a fence section or go with an on-site build. The Mule also can’t handle very steep hills or heavy mud. We’ve never had a delivery we couldn’t solve.

Can you remove my old shed when you deliver the new one?

Yes — we remove and haul away older structures regularly. If your old building is on skids, our driver can usually pull it aside with the Mule right when we deliver the new one. For larger teardowns or structures on a permanent foundation, we handle those too — the scope depends on the specific situation, how close you are to our Parkesburg facility, and what's involved on-site. Can you move a shed I already have?

Yes, within limits — and here’s the honest version. We move factory-built sheds, barns, and garages from the brands we service, and it doesn’t have to be a building we made. We do not move custom-built, homemade, or site-built structures — they’re too hard to move safely, because there are usually no 4×4 skids underneath, or the skids run the wrong way or sit in the wrong position, so there’s nothing solid to lift against. Also worth knowing: shed moving is a side service for us, not our main business, so there’s normally a backlog and we schedule moves for when our crew is already going to be in your area — we don’t make special one-off trips for a move alone. If you’re also ordering a new building from us, the equipment is coming out anyway and we can do the move on the same trip, much sooner. We relocate sheds, barns, and garages across your own property (squaring it to a fence line, clearing room for an addition, getting it off ground that keeps flooding) or to an entirely new address when you move. Our crew lifts it with the Shed Mule, hauls it if it’s going off-property, sets it where you want it, and blocks and levels it on the new spot. Price depends on the size of the building, the distance, the access on both ends, and whether the new spot needs a pad first — so there’s no flat rate. Do you repair sheds — including ones you didn’t build?

Yes — with one honest caveat up front: repair work is a side service for us, not our main business. We build and deliver new buildings first and fit repairs in when we have the time, and we line them up for days our crew is already working in your area rather than making a special trip for one job. That normally means a wait. If you are also ordering a new building from us, the crew is coming out anyway and the repair can ride along much sooner. If you are on a hard deadline, tell us up front — we would rather point you to a full-time repair outfit than have you waiting on us. What we fix: roofs and leaks, siding and trim, doors and windows, plywood floor decking, framing and structural work, and repaint/restain — with the same materials we use on a new build (pressure-treated framing, quality siding, architectural shingles). We’ll repair a building from any manufacturer when it makes sense, but not every shed is worth fixing: thin big-box kits and homemade builds with widespread rot often cost more to fix than they’re worth. One important limit: we replace plywood floor decking, but we do not replace rotted floor joists — the 2×4s under the floor. Reaching them means tearing the entire floor out and rebuilding it with the walls sitting on top, which costs most of what a new building costs on a shed that is already rotting. If the joists are gone, we’ll tell you the building is done. Because we also build, remove, and trade in, we’ll give you an honest repair-or-replace answer — once a repair approaches about half the price of a comparable new building, replacing is usually the smarter money. Yes — we deliver throughout New Jersey. Most NJ deliveries run $5–$7.50/mi one-way from Parkesburg depending on the structure width. Do I need a permit for a shed in PA?

It depends on your township and the structure's size. Most municipalities in Pennsylvania allow accessory structures under 200 sq ft (10×20 or smaller) without a building permit, but zoning rules vary widely by township. Some areas have setback requirements (distance from property lines) regardless of size. We always recommend a quick call to your local zoning office before you order. Yes — White Pine sheds are built with real 2×4 wall framing 16" on center, which creates standard stud cavities for insulation. You or your contractor can add fiberglass batts, spray foam, or rigid foam board after delivery. For workshop or studio use, we recommend R-13 wall insulation and R-30 ceiling insulation, plus a mini-split for heating/cooling. Every building also comes standard with gable-end vents on each end for passive airflow, which helps prevent moisture buildup and condensation. Studio sheds and office sheds — which ship fully insulated — include soffit venting for continuous air circulation behind the insulation. We also offer electrical rough-in (conduit and junction boxes pre-installed) so your electrician can finish the wiring quickly.

Yes — every building ships with a gable vent at each end, standard, at no extra charge. On wood-sided models you get a 4"×16" screened vent at each gable end. On Classic models — and on any model ordered with vinyl siding — you get an 8"×8" louvered vent at each end. The louver slots are very fine, so they still keep weather and larger pests out while letting the building breathe. Many competitors list vents as an add-on; ours are always included.

Start with a model that has the right footprint (10×16 or larger for a home office, 12×24+ for a serious workshop). Add windows for natural light, electrical rough-in, and insulation-ready framing — all available as build options. After delivery, your contractor adds insulation, drywall, electrical, and any HVAC. What we don't do: pole barns, additions attached to your house, or large commercial building demolition.
