How long does it take to build my shed?

Most custom shed builds ship in 4–8 weeks from the time you approve specs and pay your deposit. Smaller, simpler models (Mini Barn, Workshop) tend to be on the faster end; two-story and dormer models with custom windows take a bit longer. We give you a firm window in writing when we send your quote.

Can I really customize size, siding, doors, and windows?

Yes — every White Pine shed is built to spec. You pick the size in 2-foot increments (within each model’s range), the siding (LP SmartSide or vinyl, dozens of colors), trim color, roof color, door style and placement, and the number and placement of windows. The starting prices on this page reflect the smallest size in each family with standard features; we itemize any upgrades on your quote so there are no surprises.

What’s included in the starting price?

Pressure-treated 4x4 skids, 2x4 wall and rafter framing 16” on center, LP SmartSide or vinyl siding, GAF or IKO architectural shingles (25–30 year rated), painted exterior trim, and a steel exterior door. Delivery is quoted separately based on distance from our Parkesburg, PA facility — $5/mi one-way for 6′–12′ wide structures and $7.50/mi one-way for 14′ wide. Foundation, electrical, and any custom upgrades are also quoted separately.

Do I need to prep my site before delivery?

Yes — you’ll need a level, well-drained pad before we deliver. The simplest option is a layer of compacted gravel a foot wider than the shed on each side. Concrete pads and pier-block foundations work too. We send you a site-prep checklist with your order, and our delivery driver will scout the path before unload.

Will the shed fit through my gate or between my houses?

We deliver fully assembled on a specialized low-profile trailer. Your access path needs to be at least 2 feet wider than the structure — so a 10-ft shed needs 12 ft of clearance, a 12-ft building needs 14 ft, and so on. Once the trailer reaches your site, our shed mule lifts and positions the structure exactly where you want it. If your gate, fence, or landscaping is tight, mention it on your quote request and we’ll talk through options including on-site builds or stub-axle trailers for narrow gates. We’ve never had a delivery we couldn’t solve.

Do I need a permit for a shed?

It depends on your township and the shed size. Most municipalities in PA, NJ, DE, and MD allow accessory structures under 200 sq ft (10x20 or smaller) without a permit, but rules vary widely. We recommend a quick call to your local zoning office before you order. We’re happy to provide spec drawings if your inspector needs them.

Yes. Every White Pine shed comes with a 10-year structural warranty on framing and craftsmanship. Materials carry their manufacturer warranties — LP SmartSide is rated 50 years, GAF/IKO architectural shingles 25–30 years, vinyl siding lifetime against fade and cracking. We’ve been doing this since 1988 and stand behind every build.

Can I see a shed in person before I order?

Absolutely — our Parkesburg, PA lot has dozens of finished sheds you can walk inside. It’s the best way to compare roof styles, gauge sizes against your stuff, and see siding colors in real light. Stop by during business hours or text us if you want a specific model on display when you visit.

¾" plywood floor on pressure-treated joists
Full-length pressure-treated 4×4 runners cross with 2×4 pressure-treated floor joists 16" on center, topped with a ¾" plywood deck. The joists under the floor are pressure-treated — most competitors use untreated 2×4s that rot from the bottom up.
2×4 walls & rafters, 16" on center
Wall studs and roof rafters are full 2×4, 16" on center, with structural sheathing — built like a house, not a kit.
Painted, trimmed & turnkey

Gable vents at both ends — included, not an add-on
Every shed ships with a gable vent at each end for passive airflow — no extra charge. Wood-sided models get a 4"×16" screened vent at each gable end. Classic models and vinyl-sided builds get an 8"×8" louvered vent — not screened, but the louver slots are very fine. Many competitors charge extra for vents; ours are standard.
